Old vs New.
How can I explain the transformation from old to new?
“I once was lost but now I am found.” Sounds cliche right? Not at all, once I was wandering. No purpose, no future, no hope! But now, WOW but now. All of these things are past. The new is here now and for eternity!
More focus, purpose, clarity in my life than ever before. How is this possible? Let me tell you. Now not only do I believe in God I have a relationship with him. I can without a doubt say I will be with him for all eternity.
Romans 8 : 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 10 : 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Elementary? You bet it is!
I cannot say easy but simple. I have always been guilty of making things harder than they have to be and this was no exception. Without the tools and support of very good truly Christian men this would not have been possible for me. Once the Bible stopped being a fairy tale full of stories learned in children’s church and was recognized as the living word of God this all became crystal clear!
Do we continue to sin? The simple answer is yes but we do not have to sin everyday. I can say only for myself that when I do sin it is immediately recognized and it bothers me that I have grieved God because of my sin.
Romans 6 : 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
This is it in a nutshell for me.
We can only say this to anyone who will listen.
We cannot save anyone only plant the seeds and water them.
When in doubt GO and make disciples of all nations. Will we make mistakes? Absolutely but God doesn’t . If you truly have faith he will guide you and will work it for his greater good.
Be the Salt and the light. Matt 5:13-16
We are all new creations in Christ Jesus.
2 Cor. 5:17
He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30
In closing
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Luke 9:23
Be a man follow Jesus!
